When Should I Register For A Class?

Remember… It is never too late to register for a course!!! But because there are a limited number of seats in each class, you should register as soon as possible. All seats will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Is There An Age Limit For Courses?

No, unless the course is listed with a specific age restriction. If you have an interest in our courses, a person of any appropriate age can take Community and Continuing Education courses.

How Will I Know I Am Enrolled In A Class?

We will send you a postcard or phone you to confirm your enrollment when we reach the minimum enrollment number in order for each class to run.

What If My Course Is Cancelled?

You will be notified by phone before the scheduled starting date if your course is cancelled. Jersey Shore Area School District reserves the right to cancel a class if it does not meet the minimum enrollment requirements.

What Should I Do If I Sign Up For More Than One Course?

Please send a separate check for each course. Please date each check for the STARTING date of the course it applies to, not the date when you mail the check!

Are There Any Additional Costs For The Course I Wish To Take?

If there are any additional costs for a course, they are noted in the course description.

What If The Schools Are Closed or Dismissed Early Due To Inclement Weather?

If the schools are closed or dismissed early due to inclement weather, all Community and Continuing Education classes are cancelled that evening. The course will be extended by the necessary number of weeks to account for the school closure.

How Can I Receive A Refund?

Cancellation within eight (8) days prior to the beginning of class: 100% refund. Cancellation less than eight (8) days prior to the beginning of class: no refund. NO REFUND will be issued unless notification of cancellation is more than seven (7) days prior to the start of the class. Courses that are closed due to enrollment caps: No REFUND will be issued at any time after enrollment is closed due to course limits! No refund will be issued to customers missing regularly scheduled class dates. Due to the fact that programs operate on a self supporting basis, based on tuition income, we regret that there cannot be exceptions to this refund policy.
